hey got a pair of 5520's in A/S. This site is not yet in production but I want to caputre a baseline of traffic, memory useage, etc.

any good idea's on how to accomplish this?

right now the plan is to document weekly or monthly averages of

connections per second
cpu utilization
memory utlization
just trying to keep it all in perspective!

I am pretty sure they support SNMP. Actually I am looking at a 5520 now and I am positive it supports snmp.

And I bet they have a pretty good set of mibs so you could do an snmp walk and take it from there.

Then you could use MRTG or one of many free monitoring tools that does graphing and averages...

Last time I messed with SNMP it was not on viop equipment, and cisco had tons of mibs and oids for call manager and their sip phones.

Personally I like linux for this (to walk/poll the device to be monitored), but windows will work. Just depends on your personal preference.
encrypt the encryption, never mind my brain hurts.
