Hi All,
I would like to know is it necessary to do MCSE before going for CCVP. As I don't have knowledge about servers.
Thanks,
Pankaj

No it is not necessary. Server knowledge will help with some of the Callmanager stuff but you don't need to be to the MCSE level.

While the MCSE:Messaging is required for the
Cisco Unity Support Specialist
, you don't need it for the CCVP.
Even going for the CCIE Voice, studying and passing the
642-104 UCSE - Unified Communication for System Engineers Exam
may be helpful.... but you'd have to decide if 7 (or so) Microsoft Exams are worth it to get the Cisco Specialist Certificate. The more Microsoft Server knowledge (and Microsoft SQL for Callmanager on Windows) you have, the better -- but you can survive without the MCSE.

The new versions of callmanager is build on redhat now and not windows 2000 server ^_^
