in CCNA & CCENT
i finished CCNA 4 tonight, so now its time to start the fun: studying for CCNA. going to review everything i feel i need to work on, and then i'm going to schedule for the end of January. I'm currently going to focus on getting subnetting down real well. I'd like to have the CCNA by mid to end of February, so i can start my CCNP studies off right... i start semester 5 in like February or march.
any tips? i'll be taking the 801, so without violating any rules/policys/laws, what areas should i particularly hit hard?
if anyone has any suggestions for labs that'd be great. i've got 7 routers and 3 useable switches on my rack right now (one of them is being used for my local network
also, if anyone knows, i have 3 2924 switches. is it possible to upgrade the memory on them? they have 1MB of memory and i need more to get a 12.0 IOS on it

I was under the impression that anything under 2950 wasn't going to be of much use. What kind of routers do you have? -

AS long as you know how to setup vlans over a trunk, configure spanning-tree options and manipulate it the way you want it, view your mac-address-table to see what the frames are doing, VTP, etherchannel. You can do all that with a 2924 just fine. There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

Darthn3ss Member Posts: 1,096i have a 2950 as well, i just want to put a better IOS on my 2924s..
btw, im down to 2 switches now. one 2950 and one 2924. one of my 2924s appears to be dead and the other one is used for my home network until i pick up another switch.
the 2924 that may be in the dying process (As far as i know) turns on.. all the lights go green except 2, and then the stat liight starts blinking and it stays like that.... not sure whats up.
as far as routers:
2x 2501
1x 2514
1x 2520
1x 2620 w/2 WIC-1T
1x 3620 w/ NM-4A/S and NM-1E2W
1x 2509
Switches:
3x 2924 (maybe 2 now )
1x 2950-12
Edit: i'm goin gto be hitting the cisco whitepapers for subjects i need more info on .. i think that'll helpFantastic. The project manager is inspired.
