Copying a profile

Hi

What is the rule regarding copying a profile to the default user folder

I do this a lot due to reg fixes for software and today i come across a laptop that wont let me do it

I created a user and made it administrator, logged in as the user then ran the reg file

Logged back in as myself and tried to copy the profile but "copy to" is greyed out when i highlight the profile in the list

Any help would be great

Try rebooting, log in as local admin, and then try.

    Hi

there already is a local admin account, as a matter of cause i create a seperate account that i make all the changes to for the default user profile

i had to use the local admin account as the one in order to complete what i needed to do

i just wondered if there were any rules regarding when you can and cant copy a profile to the default user folder

    Thanks for your help

ex. if you log in w/ "account1", log off, then log in with local admin, the "account1" account can't be copied and would be greyed out. It is basically locked down as far as copying profiles go - until you reboot. Windows 2K doesn't have that problem
