frame relay problem

hi all,
i am trying to get a frame relay network running on a 2520. I get a messege Must enable frame-relay switching to configure DCE/NMI when I enter the command frame-relay intf-type dce.
I have tried these cable and they all work point to point. Also I have flowed the directions in the cisco netwoking book as well as the tech formum here. Can any one give me advice.

I'm assuming the 2520 is the frame-relay switch??

On the 2520, have you entered the command..."frame-relay switching" in enable mode?

You must turn your router into a FR switch with the following command.
In global config mode
(config)#frame-relay switching
