can these be re-installed after trial period is up? Just so we can keep studying? I know we will lose configuration, but I just don't have copies of all the systems in order to study.

You might want to look at getting a technet subscription. It's $349/year for the download version, and you can download any MS product you want without any limitations or expirations. They give you a key and you can activate it like a retail/oem product. You can only use it for evaluation purposes though. -
liven Member Posts: 918Thanks man!!!!
I am a linux/unix/bsd person by trade. So I am pretty lame when it comes to some things windows.
I mean I know my way around the registry and how to lock down a windows box... It can be a pain but it can be done....
But I only do it when I have to for work. So I am kinda clueless about the best way to study for this kind of stuff...
Thanks again!!!!encrypt the encryption, never mind my brain hurts. -

Sounds like you might be behind a firewall that has to queue the download for AV scanning. All things are possible, only believe. -

Why yes your correct!
However I was able to download service packs, SUN operating systems, FreeBSD etc.. Which are all equally as large as the windows stuff..
Probably jsut something I am doing wrong with the windows login or what ever...

sprkymrk Member Posts: 4,884 ■■■□□□□□□□Is the trial software a compressed (or self extracting exe) file, or just a regular iso?
Lots of firewalls have trouble with scanning large compressed files. Sometimes you'll see "container limit" errors in the logs. All things are possible, only believe. -
liven Member Posts: 918Its possible.
THis is not a firewall issue I can assure that.
It might be our proxy servers (one of should I say)..
Dunno don't really have time to mess it right now. I will dll them tongith from home.
THANKS for your input!encrypt the encryption, never mind my brain hurts. -
