The first YES or NO represents Windows XP home, the bottom YES or NO represents Windows XP Pro. Last I knew there wasn't a reason to update the system before the XP upgrade.

If you're upgrading to Server 2k3 then its service pack 5, as stated by Microsoft.

    * Windows NT® 4.0 upgrade is supported by Service Pack 5 (SP5) or later. If earlier version of server pack is installed, the upgrade is not possible.

    SP6.

    [edit]
Well the more I look into it, the more uncertain I become. The MS Press book clearly states SP6 (and that is what I remembered from my studies), but many online resources are saying SP5 is all that is necessary.

I guess MS Press was wrong...

I mean I knew this question when I passed my a+ test and the answer there was 6 service pack or higher And now my 3 testing suites are confusuing the hell out of me , between transcender, examforce , and practice test found on the web . im being told service pack 5 now for winnt
