Anyone read the Shindler book?

I am getting ready to take my 290 and like I usually do am ready to order the books for my next cert. For the 270 and 290 I have used a Sybex/MSPress combo, and have been happy. I noticed a different pair in the technotes 291 page. It has the MSPress book and a book by Shindler ...

Has anyone one used this book? or ones in its family? Are there any pros/cons over sybex for this particular test?

I am using it right now for my 291 and i think it is very good. I am also reading the ms press. In my opinion, it is always good to read different books.

Have you read sybex for other tests? How do they compare? If it is a personal preference I may opt for sybex, but then again, work will pay for materials if I pass so maybe I will get all 3 :)

I don't have any experience with this book, but I've liked the Syngress books I've read. Remember, you can also get a cheap PDF directly from them: http://www.syngress.com/catalog/?pid=2540

I didn't catch the Syngress name in my first glance. I have not read any of their books before, but feel more comfortable now.

    Amen brother.
I really like the Syngress books, but you will need some complementary material thrown in as well - also updated material (e.g. WSUS). I used Syngress primarily for 290 and Sybex for some extra stuff (WSUS, licensing, MBSA). It worked out well. I'm doing the same for 291.
It seems Syngress has more command line info, registry info, and overall more explanation.
