Can upgrade memory on a 2924 XL switch?

blackninjablackninja Member Posts: 385
I have two WS-c2924m-xl-en switches but they only have 4MB memory and running IOS 11.2.

I know that i need 12.2 to be able to do trunking and etherchannel but it needs 8 MB memory.

So my question is can I upgrade from 4MB to 8MB.

Any other thoughts on the 2924s?? Are they much different from the 2950?

I also have a c1900 - en with version 9.00.06, can you trunk and etherchannel on these?

Thanks.

    Negative

the 2900M-XL's are just big paper weights.

2900XL's and 2950's are worlds apart see link below

Also 1900's are not even good enough to be a paper weight in my book.

    Hope this helps :D
There is no place like 127.0.0.1
