Active directory integrasted DNS in Win2k question

DNS Change did not Replicate

unless I'm mistaken this should have been replicated

setup is Windows 2000 with AD integrated zones

I added a host record (manually) for a NAS device on one of the AD integrated servers a while ago (several months)

we had a user call from offside saying they could not get to the NAS

we determined it was because the record for the NAS Device was not on both DNS servers

I also just created a new record and forced replication afterwards and it worked

then I deleted the record and forced replication and it was removed

am I forgetting something or is there an issue I need to trouble shoot further

HAve you looked in eventvwr.msc for any FRS errors? How much available space is on the HDD? Have you opened the DNS console to see any DNS related events?
There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

Are you having problems with replication in general or just with that single DNS record? Use replmon or repadmin to test/analyze replication. What kind of setup do you have? Multiple sites? How many DCs? I would have to imagine that you'd have some pretty serious problems if things haven't been replicating for months.

Run a DCdiag as well and post the output. Do you have any error logs in the DNS, AD, FRS Event logs?

For DNS do you have any zones manually entered along with the AD zones?
