I finally passed this exam yesterday. I've been studying on and off for the past 3 years and have been supporting XP since its release. When i saw the 2nd chance offer was due to expire i decided to get my head down for a couple of weeks and go for it. I scheduled it for yesterday so i still had over a week to do the re-sit but luckily i didnt need it.
The exam was tricky in places but this was primarily due to the wording of the questions. I think what makes the exam difficult is the wide range of subjects that can come come up.
I used MS Press Book (2nd Issue) Sybex (original book from a few years back pre- sp2) the tech notes, forums and practice exam on this site & CBT Nuggets (which are ace)
It feels good to have gotten this monkey off my back and im going straight in for the 290.
