windows xp permissions

hi guys
i am new in this fourm hope i will get some knowledge from you.
i am in trouble to setup windows xp permission.and i am totally
confused
situation as follow
two computer in a workgroup windows xp sp2 installed. com1,com2
on com1 shared one folder name VISIT share permission-changed,read
(everyone group is removed)
NTFS permission-read,write,list folder content,read execute.
permission was working perfectly then i noticed that user on com2 is
creating folder in shared folder.what i did to stop that user to
creating folder into shared folder.on folder applied special permission
disable CREATE FOLDER/APPEND DATA. but when i apply this permission i
lose write permission in standard permission(write permission check box
remove itself)user cant write to file.cant apply standard permission
and special permission togather. hope you guy will help me out

Sie Member Posts: 1,195By Denying Create Folder/Append Data you are effectivly Denying Write Permission.
If you want them to be able to write but not create folders you should assign them the Create Files/Write Data Special permission Along with the Normal Read permission.
As a rule of thumb you should avoid Denying ANY permissions unless you have to, always causes more trouble except in special cirmcumstances.

when i apply special permission i lose standard permission
share permission - read
security - read ,write,list folder content,read execute.
special permission - disable create folder/append data(read,write check box in standard permission remove list folder content mark is checked)
user on other computer can access file (read or write)
