What is the function of the factory option in Sysprep?
I ran the faction option on my test workstation and all it did was shut down my PC.

Can somebody please tell me what is the difference between sysprep reseal and sysprep factory?
Which option uses the flags? (Minisetup, Preactivated, NoSIDGen, PnP) -

Claymoore Member Posts: 1,637For different hardware, you need to use the -pnp switch to force a plug and play refresh so all the devices will be found. I also used the -bmsd switch to make sure all the storage controllers were included, but that makes sysprep take a long time to complete. -mini runs the mini setup after reboot so you can put in the computer name or other information not included in your sysprep.inf. Also I'm pretty sure I had to use the -reseal switch with the -bmsd switch even though I didn't use the -factory option. The command looked like this:
c:\sysprep\sysprep.exe –reseal –mini –pnp -bmsd
