This test is a joke compared to the composite. I was expecting a brave new world of security knowledge but was given info on how to use the wonderful Cisco SDM GUI. I don't know about you guys but I'm not trying to learn GUIs. Hopefully the security track is a little more fulfilling ;)

I've massively over studied for the MPLS portion of the exam but I figure I can carry that over to the provider track too.

I'll keep you guys updated as I get closer to the deadline. I scheduled it on the leap year day so hopefully I'll get a "once in every four years" type of score :D

    Regarding SDM.

    I have been studying for this one. And one thing that concerns me is actually the SDM part. I know its easy to use a GUI, click-click-Next-click-finish, but I think the exam questions lean towards knowing what CLI commands get generated for each click. So I guess I must learn two things, the actual commands (i.e. crypto, tunnel, etc,etc) AND what commands gets generated by the SDM, which is like double work. icon_sad.gif

    I have begun studying for this useless exam. If I have to learn a GUI im gonna be pissed!!!! Time to get this CCNP finished :D

    I passed it with a 1000/1000. I definitely over-studied. The material was more like a "What can Cisco do for you?" brochure but I'm fine with that, their features are great.

    I'm just going to say that I was "disappointed" with the SDM simulations.

    Yea ICSW & ONT were much easier than BSCI & BCMSN. Then again, none of them were hard, they just required time in order to understand the concepts fully.

    I hope to be joinging you soon. I plan to sit the ISCW and ONT next month. Haven't been able to test latley, and since I finished studying the ISCW material, I've doubled up my study with ONT. I'll try to knock them both out and have the CCNP done!

    In your defense I spend about eight hours a day studying so I can get through to the CCIP. I have won the battle my friend, but not the war :)
