FIFO vs. fair-queueing

So - I've got a pagent router hooked up to two 2800 Cisco routers, and I'm observing traffic being generated on the two 2800s. I cleaned the configs out on the routers and started fresh; however, after I've configured them, with the command sh interface s 0/0 I get queueing strategy: FIFO. I thought fair-queueing was the default? The exercise I'm running supposed to show one router with fair-queueing and the other FIFO, but they're both FIFO. My labmate here got it right. I dunno. Any suggestions?

FIFO is the default when the interface speed is E1 or faster (2.048Mb/s) and Fair-queueing is the default on serial interfaces slower than that.
