    Try this

    Go to run, type msconfig

look under the startup tab and see if the script is listed there....disable it

Not sure if scripts are listed under startup tab, but worth the try

Is this a domain environment? Is there a GPO that applies to the computer in question? More details would help us point you in the right direction. :)

If it's a network script, just unplug the network cable until the after the logon is completed and the desktop is loaded.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)

Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
