Windows vs Linux based.

The 6.x (Linux Based) version is a "better working" 5.x (Linux Based) version.

The 4.x (Windows based) version has been around for a while, and people seem to be comfortable with it.

The Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) Data Sheets are also a good place to look for the high level overview (and to figure out what CallManager is being called this month).

Cucumber

I would highlight that 4.x and 5.0 have reached End of Sales AFAIK, and they will reach End Of Support in four years? Cant remember.

5.1 and 6.X are still for sale.

ALso 6.x can record calls. Previous versions require a 3rd party solution.

I see that End-of-Sale for 4.2 is May 15, 2008 in the EOS/EOL for the Cisco Unified CallManager Version 4.2 document.... but it also says to order 4.3 as a replacement.

I don't see anything about 4.3 on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) End-of-Life and End-of-Sale Notices web page.
