CCIE routing and switching.. ATM and ISDN?
Im trying to find out if the CCIE for switching and routing still covers ATM and ISDN

phreak Member Posts: 170 ■■□□□□□□□□ATM is still used in a lot of carrier environments.... The Bells like to use it on their systems. ISDN is still hobbleing along unfortunately. About 5 months ago or so we moved a customer off of ISDN onto our network (wireless). I was surprized that in 2007, they were suffering wtih BRI ISDN.... Someone needs to just finish ISDN off and kick its wooden pegleg out from underneath it.....

Also ISDN is still used alot in older fire alarm systems and
alot of legacy remote hardware management systems.There is no place like 127.0.0.1 -
Turgon Banned Posts: 6,308 ■■■■■■■■■□Not on the R&S lab anymore but worth knowing for field work. I still encounter both technologies.
