Netwurk Member Posts: 1,155 ■■■■■□□□□□Nice article - deals mainly with the pros and cons of getting an L3 switch for your CCNP lab (with the only con being the price of the L3 switches).
I got a 3550 for my own lab, because I like the hands on. But I could see where you could get by without one. -
yukky Member Posts: 98 ■■□□□□□□□□Yes, I think I've decided to take the BCMSN last, to try to avoid buying the L3 switch. $
[or try and find a good deal]
Does anyone know if any/all of the 3550s are good for BCMSN? from WS-C3550-12G, WS-C3550-12T to the WS-C3550-24PWR-EMI?
or do we need to get ones that have at least SMI (upgraded to EMI) in the title?Buying hardware for a home lab is addicting-- (Need.. more.. toys...) **(need.. more.. money) -

homerj742 Member Posts: 251Actually, I was thinking, that the CCNA link could be a useful sticky in the CCNA forum, and we can do the same here once the CCNP series is finished...
