    Good stuff.

2650 is a nice little router. You get a fasteth interface without paying for an XM model

Going to take the CCNA next month, i promise.

Are there any CCNA/CCNP book-on-ipod type of deals out there? that'd be awesome if i could listen to some cisco stuff while at the gym. (i think)

Going to pick up a 3550 or two over the next 3 or 4 months so i can have fun with BCMSN.

The information is probably good, but the samples put me to sleep. It didn't seem like something I could get into, but you might want to look into it.

    I have a 2620 running 12.3, a 2650 is not much different

Last I heard you can't run 12.4 on them

If you get 12.4 to work let me know and I'll try it on my 2620

    :)

2650 you can put more memory in it thus supporting 12.4

According to the Cisco Feature Navigator, the 2600 series only supports 12.3. For 12.4 you need a 2600xm or newer.

If you want to install 32MB flash, a Boot ROM upgrade is needed for most 2600's

    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/2600/hardware/installation/notes/2600mem.html#wp93177

I've seen the upgrade ROM on ebay for between $35-75.

the 2650 supports 128/32 out of the box. no boot room upgrade necessary.
