port security ???

Hi guys. ...
I'm trying some labs here ... I configured port security on a port. But when ever i issue the command

#show mac-address dynamic 

I don't get the mac-address of the attached PC on that port. But I can get it from

#show int gi0/47 port-security 

And ofcourse when i remove port-security, i can see mac-address of attached PC with the

#show mac-address dynamic

Any one know why ?

BTW this is my port-security config

interface GigabitEthernet0/48
 switchport mode access
 switchport port-security
 spanning-tree portfast
end

It doesn't show up as dynamic because Cisco considers it to be static. Run a "show mac-address interface" command on the port. You will see it show as STATIC under the "Type" heading.
