can I use mt Cisco 877w ADSL router on cable?

I have, on loan, a Cisco 877w router with 4 built in Switch ports. Because its ADSL, I can't just plug in my cable modem rj45. Is it possible to use one of the switch ports? I really want to have play with this because of the VPN,s firewall and WLAN capabilities. Although I guess I could just use it without the internet connection. Anybody advice please?

Hi,

The 877 router is ADSL type router and you can't use it with cable modem, you will need a 871 router to use it with your setup.
