70-270 vs. 70-290 difficulty

I think the 70-270, which I barely passed, is going to end being harder.

Why?

Because there are so many extras included with the Client OS that it makes those arcane facts even more cumbersome.

What was your experience with the two exams?

There seems to be huge overlap between the two exams.

The 70-270 was my first experience with a MS exam. I didn't prepare and didn't review my answers at the end of the test. So I failed the first time around. The second time I passed. When it came time to take the 290 I prepared more, had experience with some of the same topics and found the 290 to be way easier than the 270 was. I can only guess if the 270 would have been easier than the 290 had I taken it first.
