Im a little bit conflicted about what study aids I should use to pass the CCENT/CCNA exams. I've done quite a few research about test practice materials and I swear the opinions vary from one end of the spectrum to the other.

I guess what I'm trying to avoid is picking up a material that will lead me to inadvertently "****" on my test. But at the same time, I'd like to get my hands on every valid materials out there that will truly prepare me well.

I once heard people rave about Transcenders before and I see the name flying around in the this forum every now and then. I've seen the material and people have admitted to saying that some of those questions appeared in the actual exams. To me that sounds like "cheating".

Some of the materials I've been tempted to take a look at are: Transcender (as i mentioned above), ****, ****... But before I do I'd like to hear what this community's opinions of them are. Avoid them or they're legit?

You can only phrase a question about OSI model layer 3 just so many ways -- so you're bound to get an occasional question that may seem similar to a real question -- it's when all or most of the exam questions you get on the real exam are in the "practice exams" that you know it's a ****.

Transcender, Boson, Preplogic, and the questions you get with the Cisco Press, Sybex, and other books you can buy at a book store are Legal.

The other 2 mentioned were caught by the filters and are KNOWN CHEATS. They get filtered here since we don't want them using the popularity of TechExams.Net to increase their rankings in the search engines.

I appreciate your input. I'll be sure to stay away from them.

I'm strongly considering Transcender. From what I've seen on the MS materials, they are pretty thorough in explaining the answers on their practice questions. Do you have any particular choice from the ones you mentioned that you like better? Thanks again.
