Line Presence without the ring

I have a phone with the receptionist number assigned to it. The boss would like her line to be on his phone and be able to tell when she is on the phone, however when her number is dialled he does not want it to ring on his phone...is this possible?

Oh i forgot to mention the phone is a 7970

i guess i could add a blank ring tone to the callmanager and assign it to that line.
