file permissions help

Hi All

Does anyone have a simple methodology or simple way of working out assinging share and ntfs permissions. I read the chapter on technotes on this site - I understand them but I still get the questions wrong. When there are 6 options select 3 that apply for example - I will generally get one wrong. I need to Iorn out these silly mistakes.

You should really review what each permission actually grants. i.e. What does "Write" specifically allow you to do? Once you have a good handle on that, you should be fine. Don't get discouraged; these can be quite tricky.
