Passed w/ 757. Score was much lower than I thought it would be, even after taking it.

    About 6 sims.

Fair amount on Backup/Restore, AD, and Built in account group rights.

I used CBT Nuggets and Tranceders, and was surprisingly sent to an MOC for 5 days. I had it down before the class so it was pretty much just good hands on and repetition. Trancenders was very good for this.

291 next. I should be able to manage a Virtual PC lab for this one. I expect to pound this one out in about 2 months. Hopefully i can get that one done and then relax on this cert stuff for a while.

*I also used the Sybex books.

    Congratulations!

Will 291 be MCSA for you, or will you still have the elective to do?

Ive got A+ and N+ done. I've also got MCDST, so either way that'll be the elective.

I actually will need to go back and do 270. I wanted to start with 2k3.

If you haven't done the client OS exam yet, I'd say skip 70-270 and go for 70-620 instead. The XP exam counts towards both MCSA and MCSE, but the Vista exam counts towards those plus MCITP: Enterprise Administrator, should you choose to upgrade in the future. There's nothing that says you can't learn Windows XP Pro as well, but it might not be worth your while to spend the time and money to certify on it, when the Vista exam covers all your bases for current and future certs.

I'll jump off that bridge when I get there. It depends on what kind of hands on i can get with vista. Right now, I've never actually touched it. We dont have any Vista stations at work...so if that doesnt change and I dont get a laptop of my own to work with, i may just have to do XP to get mcsa done. We'll see.
