It's harder than most people expect an XP test to be. Many are surprised by how much more there is to XP than they use on a daily basis. It's not bad if you prepare for it properly, but you won't pass just because you've had it installed on your PC for a few years.
You earn the MCP.
It never expires, but it will lose value as XP does.

it says on microsofts website that a year after the exam retires that the certs expires, is this true?
