Scared...

nemonatnemonat Member Posts: 9 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hi Everyone,
I am about to take the exam this week on Wednesday.
I am little scared and wanted to get some support.
This is the first exam I am taking and I am still not sure what level to expect.
How are the sims? hard? How much into depth do they go in the questions? Are the options in the answers really tricky?
Also, I’ve been practicing tests using ****. Are they considered good? Are the tests even similar to what I am going to see?
Thx for the support!

I wouldnt use that resource if I was you, Its filtered out here as its classed as a Braindump. Microsoft frown very much on this and could strip certifications from people who use them (Im assuming from your post you didnt know)

Get yourself the MS Press Book or the like and learn from there.

How much experience have you got with Windows Server 2003?

    What is your background?

Also Welcome to the board. :D

The 70-290 exam is easier then 70-270.

I just passed both of them this month so I should know :)

    Good luck

I used Measureup practice exams from the MS Press book and I thought they were good enough.

You don't need Transcenders to pass. Thats a bunch of mularkey.

You are the first one to mention them in this thread. icon_rolleyes.gif

I just read 2 posts in a row where you have mentioned negative things about Transcenders.

I also don't use Transcenders but have tried their trial practice questions and they are good. I don't use them because they are too expensive but I definitely don't try to persuade others from not using them.

As proven time and time again they have been a great resource to many people on and off this forum. I would suggest it for the OP if he is willing to spend the money on the resource.

I agree with GoldMember on both points, here. These subjects aren't the entire exa, obviously, but they are VERY important for passing.

I also agree that you don't NEED Transcenders, but I have used the material on both the 270 and 290 exams and found them to be extremely relevant and very useful in preparing for the tests. Plus, I thought the MeasureUp tests with the MS Press books were AWFUL! (Sorry, GM, just MO) :)
