Add Remove Programs Question

Any suggestions on why a computer would suddenly lose most of the programs that are listed under Add Remove Programs? The OS is Windows 2000. The programs were all listed and now only 3 out of the programs are coming up when opening up Add remove Programs. Restarted system and issue still remains.....

It's basically just a list of information. It's probably stored in the registry. Maybe spyware or a virus corrupted it.
