passed 70-290 today!!!

hey everybody, i just wanted to let everybody know i passed the server exam today with an 828. now im going to take on the beast.(291) :D

    my words of wisdom on the 70-290 exam is to make sure you know about incremental and differential backups...i proabably had 10 question ons that....out of 45

    Thanks for the heads up. I am pretty comfortable with the incremental vs. differential. I understand what it does with the archive bit, etc....when you want to use one vs. the other.

    I am ready to go, but had to wait until April 2 for an exam opening.

    You should be solid on the three group scopes(Universal, Global, Domain Local). RAID levels, user profiles/AD settings, NTFS/Share permissions, Logging/Monitoring, Terminal Services, IIS.

    i disagree with knowing everything about the three group scopes. A few friends and I took the test all on the same day and not any of us had a single question about group scopes.

    I had quite a few on the three group scopes, NTFS/Share permissions, and backup/recovery.

    This is why you need to study everything on the exam objectives posted on MS site. They have a large question pool, and it's the luck of the draw for what questions you get on any particular day.
