3640 and wic-2T question

About how much can I get one of these for...I've been searching the net and I can't find one wic-2t for sale that is specifically for 3640 routers...Maybe all(or most) wic-2Ts work on 3640s. I just bought a 3640 router one bay with a 1FE1R2W Module already in it.
I checked and supposedly that one supports wic-2Ts, but I don't want to just buy one and have it not be supported or something. I have found some wic-2T cards that are for like 2600 or something like that, some not labelled as for anything specific at all, etc. Any help is appreciated. I'm totally new to cisco stuff and even if I find documentation I'd like some human advice from someone who knows what they're talking about

mikej412 Member Posts: 10,086 ■■■■■■■■■■Table 1-2 in this Cisco doc says the WIC-2T is supported by the NM-1FE1R2W. And this Cisco 3600 Series Multifunction Platforms Data Sheet says the 3600 series routers supports both the WIC-2T and NM-1FE1R2W.
And according to the Platform Support section of the Cisco Understanding 2-Port Serial WAN Interface Card (WIC-2T) doc -- there seems to be only one WIC-2T, and it works on multiple platforms.
As long as you don't buy a counterfeit one off of eBay, it should work.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -
zenzen Member Posts: 69 ■■□□□□□□□□Thanks a lot that answered all of my questions. I saw some wic-2Ts that said good for 'insert router here' so I drew the wrong conclusion that there must be multiple kinds.
Thanks for doing that research for me I couldn't quite find it! -

When I get a chance I'll probably grab the non-voice hardware links and add them into the CCNA FAQ, and maybe the CCNP FAQ.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set!
