    Dang. Now how can I fill that 50meg pipe? Who needs 50 megs, seriously?

    But isn't too much. It is great but in my opinion it is a waste of money if you go for it.

    They also said business class is only $200/month, which appeals to me a lot more. The 5mb upstream alone is very appealing.

    As far as residential goes, streaming HD will probably eat up more than the 8mb I have right now. Speeds are going to hit 100mb with 160mb as the theoretical maximum. It's going to be awhile before everyone else gets the infrastructure in place to support those types of activities though. I feel like my the 8mb connection I have now is more than a lot of places can currently handle.

    I do. I have 1000 users sharing a couple of T1 lines! Our internet bill is $30,000/year. We don't have fiber! We are in iowa. Please help :)

    damn, I was just about to suggest FIOS from verizon. We tried, but we also dont have fiber in my area either icon_sad.gif


    id be down for a 50Mb line! A little over half the price now for a performance increase of 4x! Shame comcast is not in my area...JEEEZ Im getting screwed here!!! :)

    Wow. Your loop cost must be pretty high. Ours run $225/mo each including the loop. Wow.

    Dang, I lived in the QC for 14 years and the best they had while I was there was a 768k/256k DSL or a 2MB/192k cable line. Still, for home use $150 is pretty steep.

    I have 8Mb/1Mb at home. Which is nice, but expensive. I think I was spoiled being on SONET here at the campus 6 days a week. I don't like to go home sometimes.
