Hi guys, CCNA newbie here i'm looking in to do CCNA, I was wondering whether this lab setup would be sufficient for me to pass CCNA? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CISCO-CCNA-Intro-Router-Switch-Lab-2500-2501-2924_W0QQitemZ290218978972QQihZ019QQcategoryZ73321QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

hypnotoad Banned Posts: 915the 2501's by themselves sell pretty cheap -- about $15 usd. There is only so much you can do with a 2501 though.

12.3 ios should be ok but ideally 12.4 would be great
any more help please contact me -

1x2501
2x2610
1xC2950-24 maybe 2x if i can find some spare cash to purchase later on would that be sufficient for my CCNA preparation and maybe CCNP in the future?
thanks in advance -
mgeorge Member Posts: 774 ■■■□□□□□□□Well a 2501 can do alot of stuff with the right image of course...
I would suggest using 12.2(15)T17, it includes IPv6, OSPFv3, RIPv6.
You can swap the image when you need to do IS-IS labs. It wont do inter-vlan trunking either
so you'll need a 2600 to do those kind of labs. You'd be surprised what a 2500 can doThere is no place like 127.0.0.1
