A digital forensics certification?

Is there one, or a recommended one? I think some companies like EnCase offer one but it generally can't be obtained without experience in the area of forensics.

Is it unrealistic to say that a person could dab in forensics without attending a 6-month or longer training course? I understand the rules of evidence somewhat and know that damaging evidence won't help your case...all the reason not to trust someone with no experience.

I'm planning to take up some forensic certifications, can you please help me ? I dont have any related experince in forensic,but want to learn Computer Forensic. So without experience i can go ahead with EC Council Certifications (CHFI). Are there any other Forensic Certifications ?

This is what you are going to want to get. You are also going to want FTK and EnCase, but since those are extemely expensive it is best to wait out and get a job where they send you to a week long training and spend the $10,000+ to get you ready.
