Switch fans failure
Kasor
I saw a message from the switch when I connect to the Console.
FAN-2-.... FAIL rotation to report (Not sure the exact message, I don't remember).
So, it is time to replace the fans or something else from the switches.

Did you google the error?
This will bump your post anyways.

Did you check the fans?
You didn't mention the model, but
replacement fans are available for popular Cisco equipment
.
If one out of 4 fans fails on an old lab switch (and it isn't loud and noisy) you may not worry about it. If its a more expensive switch and you plan long lab hours during the heat of summer, it may be worth the cost of a replacement fan.

My own editorial comment on this is...
I CAN'T STAND how the fans on these 2501s are on the bottom
I have to leave space inbetween the routers in my rack and after 4 of them, I could have had room for one more switch or router... Sheeeeeesh!!!!!
sorry... had to vent ... get it?! :P
