I saw a message from the switch when I connect to the Console.
FAN-2-.... FAIL rotation to report (Not sure the exact message, I don't remember).
So, it is time to replace the fans or something else from the switches.

You didn't mention the model, but replacement fans are available for popular Cisco equipment.
If one out of 4 fans fails on an old lab switch (and it isn't loud and noisy) you may not worry about it. If its a more expensive switch and you plan long lab hours during the heat of summer, it may be worth the cost of a replacement fan.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

I CAN'T STAND how the fans on these 2501s are on the bottom I have to leave space inbetween the routers in my rack and after 4 of them, I could have had room for one more switch or router... Sheeeeeesh!!!!!
sorry... had to vent ... get it?! :P
