Well I applied for an IT job and what do you know, I got it. Finally after a year of waiting. I like to mention that though I don't have a lot of experience what really helped was pushing my other skills. IT is not just about IT. Just to give to you all a little hope that if you work hard and study hard it will pay off!

BTW if you don't mind, what's your title & what will you be doing?
I remember I was happy like a mofo when I got my 1st IT job 5yrs ago.Wars not make one great. Coffee makes one Great!

The title is IT support officer and the role ( from what I understand) is repair, upgrading, installing software and a whole bunch of other stuff!! I'll let you know what it's like when I start in a couple a weeks!

Well, I have been here a week and things are looking good.
I have done a few new user accounts, exchanged a couple of hard drives, checking the event viewer on a daily basis and a whole bunch of other stuff. All fairly basic stuff but it's all hands on!!
