I heard these are quite good to have and very professional.

I own the company. Theoretically, my business card is my personal card. :P

If you have the right kind of printer, very nice business cards are easy to make. The most difficult part is creating the artistic look and aesthetics of the card, but there are many business card samples templates to borrow from on the Web. Making your own cards allows you to easily make changes and only print the amount of cards you need on demand.

Wow, I couldn't imagine handing somebody a $3 business card. But it would probably be a $3 well spent. The Plastic translucent ones are cool.

If you come up with the design & artwork, a good place to have them printed is a company called Polydot. We're looking at using them where I work. My boss's church had some business cards printed up that advertised church event. 5000 cards for $99. I was pretty shocked at how well they looked for that price.

The marketing firm that redesigned our business cards wants over $25k

to print 500 cards for 37 employees. Totally ridiculous!

The absolute coolest is Kevin Mitnick's business card. You can get one from him in person or for $5 cash by mail. Here a video of someone actually using it to pick a lock.
