need some help with the pix

i bought a pix for home use which i am trying to learn. its going thru a cable modem with no router. it seems to be set up correctly howevere i cant seem to get on the internet. i can ping 4.2.2.2 from the pix but cant get out from the machines. here is my config:

verified that both e0 and e1 interfaces are up, and that i am getting a wan ip from my cable modem. my machine is going directly into e1, and pulls a dhcp address of .2. any advice would be appreciated.

you can ping 4.2.2.2 but cannot resolve. Sounds like a DNS issue to me.

Are you able to resolve DNS with ping? ping www.google.com ??

also use the following commands to trouble shoot translations.

show xlate -> READ on it


show conn -> READ on it

create an access-list permitting web traffic and stick it on an interface
