ok I admit it , i play my nintendo ds constantly, i am currently playing mega man zx. I already beating yoshi's island, super mario bros, mario kart ds, ridge racer. I am thinking about getting metroid prime hunters but here mixed review? I also love super smash brothers brawl , and i used to be a huge warcraft 3 tft player. i never got into WoW really, reminded me to much of pokemon with the leveling.

So whose a gamer!

Gaming almost wrecked my 70-270.

Latest thing for me is Baroque on the Wii but I'm still really enjoying the good ol' Mario Party games and Super Mario Galaxy. But right now I'm completely immersed in Baroque. Still lots of Wii Sports being played as well though!

Haven't touched the DS for a while but I was doing Rune Factory on that.

I actually use my DS to play imported educational Kanji "games" for learning Japanese. The stylus/touch screen really works well. I stick with my PC or 360 for my gaming though.

The only educational game i have is brain age. can you speak japanese pretty fluently Dymanik ? I always wanted to speak a second language but i am HORRIBLE, with it. I guess some people were meant to be bilengual and some werent

It contains stories to remember the meanings of the Kanji. Knowing the meaning beforehand will help a lot when you actually start using them in words later on.

This is an excellent podcast: http://www.japanesepod101.com/ It provides daily 10-minute lessons that are easy to listen to in the car or at the gym.

These flash cards are great for learning the kanji and words: http://whiterabbitpress.com/ They even have accompanying audio for some of them.

I bought Grand Turismo 5 a week ago and am already sick of it. Waste of $45. The God of War series is great. I also play Quake 3 just about daily. Other than that, I really don't play games much. I think I've bought about 2 games in the last 5 years or so.

Yeah, I play some CoD4 as well. However I stay away from Hardcore mode. To much spray and pray, get's old having people with deeper wall penetration sit and camp wait for something to move then just unload randomly at a well. Get nicked, your dead.

lol i kinda do that but i dont just sit there and camp i move around like everyone else.

Well you have a point, there are a lot of campers that just sit around in Hardcore and just wait for movement. But the one thing that I hate about Normal Mode is that it take like 4-6 rounds from a G3 to kill. It just takes to long....and when I play multi the people that I'm playing with are sitting in the same room as me so if they are camping I just turn around and hit them in the back of the head with an airsoft gun!!

The nice thing about Hardcore is that if your playing with people that play fair then it does take skill to play because you have nothing on the screen. I just like it better, plus when I get back on to Normal mode its like a walk in the park because I'm used to playing with no radar, redical, ect.

Now if you want a fun Hardcore mode experiance then get on with some friends everyone only uses the base sniper kit you can't use a scope, pistol or knife. Its like playing with shot guns but a heck of a lot better. It is so fun, so to any other CoD4 players try it.

Halo, and soon GTA IV, and any fun non-online multiplayer game to play with the guys/gals. IE rock band, guitar hero, fight night, Wii sports, any sports game, etc.

when Im not studying, or I have PLENTY of time, I like to get involved in a good RPG.

Wow from 4/05 - 2/08. PotBS right now. Starcraft back in the day, C&C, Sim City series, X-Com, Z. No console games really now adays besides Smash Bros Brawl. once Starcraft II comes out I'll switch to that 100%. I was VERY big on Halo 2 actually. Haven't played Halo 3 yet.

Sounds like you're more of a fan of RTT (real-time tactics). You don't have to micromanage resources, etc. Check out some of the games here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_tactics#Archetypes

X-Com Apocalypse! Jagged Alliance! (Crusha' Crusha'! ) I loved those games! I also enjoyed C&C, Starcraft, Warcraft I and II, Doom and Doom II; fun stuff.

I also played Joe Montana Football and 'Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego'. But unfortunately the old man used the PC more for work and not play, so I mostly stuck to console games.

I play everything under the sun. When I get my new laptop I'm sure it's only going to get worse. :P

I love RPGs, RTSs, FPSs, Action-Adventure, survival horror...if it's a good game, chances are I'll dig it.

For all you CoD4 players out there...anyone else think that Shipment is simultaneously the worst and best multi map?

I never could get into the real time games. I have more of a chess background growing up so games like Heroes of Might & Magic had more appeal to me.

Also the good ol' gold box AD&D games! Ah yes, good times, good times, especially the original Pool of Radiance.

I'll have to level with ya cabbage, I'm a huge fan of teh shooters... mostly because I was raised on RPG's and so realtime action kinda hit me in a major way when I was a wee lil gamer lad. 2142 and CoD4 are my favz, though sometimes I'll indulge in a little Halo PC or CSS. It's just a good break from all the friggen WoW I play

Is Shipment the map that's real dark and all the snipers camp the respawns for for n00b kills? If so, that's the map that made me give up on CoD4 and go back to CoH and TF2. Just waaaay too frustrating.
