Hiya
Looking on the Microsoft site, 70-270 is not even mentioned on the MCP part, on 271 and 272
Luckily i found this site and it suggests 70-270 is the way to go, can you please confirm that ?
thx very much
Paul

All MS certification tests passed give the designation of MCP/MCTS. Now MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP require a combination, depending on the specialty, of certification exams.

You'd want to take the 271 and 272 if you're aiming for the MCDST route. The 270 you'd want if you're aiming for an MCSA/MCSE. Of course you also would want to consider the 70-620 for Vista so that you'd be on the MCITP route.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/

MCDST is the higher cert because it requires passing two exams. When you pass the first one, you are a MCP and then the second one you become a MCDST.Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll still land among the stars. - Les Brown -

I couldn't find a specific date when it's going to end. But considering much of windows 2000 stuff JUST ended March of 2008. One would have to guess these exams (XP, 2003) are going to be around for a few years.
