error loading flash 2924xl

hi, i tried upload this flash to my 2924. and i belive this is the last flash for my switch,
but wh en it tries to load it give me this output..

Error: hardware not supported by firmware.
Try loading newer software instead.
System Resetting..

but to my understanding c2900XL-h-mz-112.8.3-SA3 this is the lastest flash for my switch.

any suggestions ??

another question...

on a 2950, i set some password i thought i entered corretly, but obiously didnt. for my login local ...

i know how to do a password recovery, but is there a way just to figure out my password, and keep my config.

becuse my config has alot of modifications, and i would hate to start over again.

Do password recovery and modify the password? It shouldn't wipe out your config.
