I was going through WMI in the MS Press book, just wanted to know what I should I know about this topic for the test. In the book, it wasnt explained enough and I didnt find it on the " Skills Measured on this exam " section.
Just one more thing, I know that ASR is on the test, does that also mean that I goto know to work the Recovery Console too. Thank you.

Sie Member Posts: 1,195You should know how to access and use the Recovery Console anyway not just specifically for this exam its a good tool to know and essential for some faults.
The main thing to remember is that ASR is NOT a boot disk and you will need to boot the Server with Win2K3 CD and choose ASR Restore during the boot.
As for WMI I think for this exam you should be ok with just knowing what it is and what its used for.Foolproof systems don't take into account the ingenuity of fools -

Talking of backups I would also make sure you know whats included in the System State on both Member Servers and Domain Controllers.
