HeroPsycho Inactive Imported Users Posts: 1,940Thanks, Dynamik for the compliments.
Instead of thanking particular members, I just want to give a shout out to this community as a whole. I was a part of a different online community whose name will go unmentioned that became so intolerable from members posting with technical agendas instead of facts, or people who posted things with literally no idea what they were talking about, and when you inevitably had to point out they were incorrect even respectfully, they'd flame until the thread got deleted, including the advice I gave which I spend considerable amount of time posting. I had to quit it out of sheer disgust, so I'm glad to have found this community.
It's refreshing to be a part of a well moderated, respectful, and positive community as this one.
Never brought this up before, but I feel it needs to be said, and it's something we all deserve a little credit for.Good luck to all! -

Vogon Poet Member Posts: 291Kudos for having a site with a smorgasbord (also cornucopia and mishmash) of talent and expertise. It's nice to have a site where the knowledgeable veterans don't "rtfm" the noob on every other question like some newgroups I've seen. (How rude) Good job to everyone for keeping it professional. No matter how paranoid you are, you're not paranoid enough.

NetAdmin2436 Member Posts: 1,076I've only been here a few months but I'd say everyone deserves a round of applause (Go ahead stand up and bow...Yes you!). Ok, Ok, sit back down now.
But ultimately I'd have to give our webmaster Johan and the other moderators some extra credit though. This site has really motivated me to get my certs and I love the technotes.
THANK YOU!WIP: CCENT/CCNA (.....probably) -

I actually just leave this page open in a tab, and occasionally give F5 some love. Or I'm a subject in an experimental science project where I can communicate directly with the internet via an Ethernet jack in the back of my head. Don't tell me you've never wondered what those experimental class E IP addresses were used for -
Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModGood lord! Not only am I mentioned in this thread, but twice?!? You people don't actually listen to me, do you? (I'm surprised I don't see mushroom-clouds on the horizon after every howto post I make.)
Seriously, though, I think the great thing about TechExams.net is that there is such a wide userbase and such a vast number of topics to cover, that everyone gets to shine as an 'A-lister' when their particular area of expertise or a subject that they've had personal experience with comes up. It seems like every time there's a new area of discussion that opens up, someone always steps up to give some helpful advice or point the poster in a good direction.

Schluep Member Posts: 346Normally I woudn't be a terribly huge fan of this type of thread since there are so many very active posters, but since everyone else seems to be enjoying it so much I will mention a few of my favorites (and hopefully not forget any).
I am usually not very involved in the Cisco forum so if you are the best poster in the world and mainly are involed there I will probably miss you. Hopefully I will not leave anyone off of my list that I intended to include.
Obviously Webmaster deserves credit not only for his many helpful posts over the years, but all the time spent organizing information, providing this incredible resource, and building such a strong community.
Keatron wins the jaw-dropping award for his ability to provoke intense thought and impart an incredible insight and amount of knowledge in a single post in what was a seemingly normal thread.
Some of my personal favorites include (in no particular order and without looking back through posts to add people to the list, going strictly from memory): Dynamik, Keatron, JDMurray, sprkymrk, dtlokee, Plantwiz, Networker(insert bunch of numbers here), Slowhand, Garv(two or three numbers), blargoe, Shednik, eMes, Mishra, HeroPyscho, and Pash. I tried my best to remember who uses capital letters and who uses lowercased without searching (though I know same more are probably lower case since people have a strange aversion to capitilized names here) and had no clue what any numbers on people's names were for those that use numbers)
Personally I appreciate the sentiment of those that mentioned me but don't know why. I usually ramble on with a long post most people won't bother to finish (or start). Also, with my current schedule I usually see threads after someone already posting something along the lines of my thoughts so there is no point responding anymore. I often type faster than I think resulting in numerous spelling errors and don't take the time to spell check them or re-read any of my posts. -

royal Member Posts: 3,352 ■■■■□□□□□□Ya I messed that up. Hehe. Guess I should have put square root of 16, not 8. Or 8 / 2. Oops.“For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.” - Harry F. Banks

I hear ya, brother. If I don't get at least two more mentions before the thread dies, I'm crawling into a bottle and never coming out.
This kind of thread really puts things into perspective, when you think about it. Now that I've discovered that people actually read the insane drivel that I write, I really should think about using a spell-checker, or something. (The drunken rambling will continue, of course. I'd hate to disappoint.)

I am actually not to concerned if I get mentioned or not, but I am curious what kind of award you would give me. Perhaps the sexiest TE member? j/kWorking on: MCSA 2012 R2 -
