Has anyone seen where sharepoint on SBS 2003 will go to the companyweb site. It says it cant connect to the database, the MSSQL$SHAREPOINT service wont start. I tried a few kbs and nothing worked.

    Don't forget to also check the SQL logs. It will generally be more detailed than a report in the Event logs.

    Any one of a bazillion things can cause a service not to start. Event viewer or the logs in the sql server program files directory can give clues.

    Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
    Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
