Quick resume question

EmpathyEmpathy Member Posts: 56 ■■□□□□□□□□
I just got my CCNA this week, and I'm updating my resume to include the skills that I gained in the process of studying.

Does it make sense to specify every version of the IOS I've worked with, or should I summarize it as "IOS version 12.X"?

Seems like overkill to include every single version might be best to just list the most current version you have learned on

I would just list the most current version you have worked with.

+1, I would summarize as Cisco IOS. I personally do not have my CCNA as of yet, but I do have Cisco IOS listed as a skill set. I summarize it as Cisco IOS since I have worked on numerous routers and switches at different points of time in my IT career. Hope this helps.

I would just put CCNA, I don't feel there is a real need to even put Cisco IOS. CCNA sums it up pretty well. You have to know the IOS in order to obtain it.

I've always been of the feeling that unless the version number is specified/required by the job posting, never place it for any application/OS. It dates you one way or another. (too new or too old)

Thanks all! I think I'll go with the most recent version I worked with.

I agree with remyforbes777. No need to list any version of IOS. You better know your way around IOS if you have your CCNA so there is really no point in stating it.
