When synchronization is failing

in Windows XP Professional
Hi,
I wonder what to do when the synchronization is failing. I know that the Reinitialization of offline cache is applied when the cllient side cache is corrupt. How about the failing synchronization, then?

    This can be down to various factors:

    Network Card
    Network Cable
    Network
    Router
    Server

    to name a few before software is looked at.

    What type of syncronisation failure were you thinking of?
    Foolproof systems don't take into account the ingenuity of fools

    some files cannot be synchronized automatically... they actually have to be enabled by group police and also may have to be manually cached ... what cause the failure ?
