To get your A+ based on the 2006 objectives (the latest) you will need to pass CompTIA A+ Essentials (220-601) an one of the following: 220-602 (IT Technician) or 220-603 (Remote Support Technician) or 220-604 (Depot Technician).

Here are the objectives for each exam so you can get an idea of what's covered:
