Hello there,

I would like to purchase a book on virtualization. my goal is not take any certification on that subject but to help me build and configure a lab for 290 and 291 exams.
Any recommendations? Web sites or tech notes?

Your help is very much appreciated icon_wink.gif

Cheers!

There are probably some how to's out there if you wanted a walk through. But your best bet is to just install it yourself and play around with it. Give it a try.

VMware server is free on VMware's site.

Well, I see your goal isn't vmware certification. However, I'll tell you the book I used to study for the exam.

Mastering VMware Infrastructure 3 by Chris McCain

I've used it to prepare for the exam and it would certainly provide more information than you'd ever want to know about ESX.

I don't think he's going for ESX. It seems like he's going to go with VMware Workstation or Server, Virtual PC 2007, or Virtual Box.

+1 for installing one and playing around with it.

www.itidiots.com has some good video tutorials on virtualization as well.
