Hello Have a Hardware Question. Anyone who owns a Cisco 2509 may know what what's up?
Purchased a used Cisco 2509 Access Server (AS).
Unpackaged the equipment and discovered a Cooling fan vent area without a fan. .
It's Located in the bottom of the chassis.
However the fan appears to be an accessory or has been removed.
Installed the AS in a well vented location Top and Sides.
Worked well for about a half hour while I tested the equipment and configured it up.
Now it's hanging up and not responsive.
Searched the web for Fan, Parts, etc. No Luck. As the fan is missing there's no part no. to use as a reference.
Any idea if it's a needed Part? If so what the part no. might be?
Thanks for your help!!!

Why do you think its a heating problem?
This area may just be the air intake side.

It's about 2-3/8 inches square. But it's 1/2 of a 120mm spare computer chassis fan -- so most likely it's a 60mm x 60mm fan.
You can Google the part # or search on eBay and find them for about $4 - $5. Or you could run out to Radio Shack and see if they have any 60mm x 60mm computer fans with 2 wire motherboard connectors if you're in a hurry to try it out.
